We had long been concerned about the school’s signage; however, as the school has become increasingly well-known in the area, there were many requests for it. We have finally completed the sign and installed it at the school gate. 20260808

以前より懸念していました学校の看板ですが、この地区でも名が知れ渡ってきていることから要望が多かったです。ようやとその看板が出来上がり校門に設置しました。

In response to a request from the state government, we have been planting trees on the school grounds since the year before last; we prioritized fruit-bearing trees, and small fruits are already beginning to appear.

Now in its fourth year since the school was established, we have finally completed the construction of a small dormitory on the second floor of the school building and a kitchen on the third floor. We will gradually house students from remote areas and students with parents who have special needs in this dormitory. 20260115

学校設立四年目にして、ようやく、校舎の二階に小さな寮と三階に調理室ができました。この寮に少しずつ遠隔地の生徒や保護者に問題のある生徒を収容していきます。2026年1月15日

We are beginning repair work on the exterior wall of the second floor of the school building, which has been a concern for the past five years. Due to the chronic deficit in our finances, the repair work has been put off, but serious surface corrosion has caused leaks, so we are making the difficult decision to find the budget to carry out the work. Completion is scheduled for January of next year. 20251115

五年来懸念していた校舎二階外壁の補修作業を始めます。慢性赤字財政なので、補修をのびのびにしていたのですが表面腐食が深刻による漏水が発生してきたので、苦渋の予算捻出で工事を実施します。完成は来年一月の予定です。

With the midterm exams over, it’s time for Dewali again. This festival is the biggest holiday in India, celebrating the New Year. Rangoli is a blessing drawn on the ground in the sand, and it is a tradition for students to draw them from a young age. We hope that students will enjoy learning despite the rigors of the class. 20251019

This is the annual tree planting ceremony. Eventually, the boundary of the school grounds will be surrounded by trees. The area around the school has been flooded since two months ago due to the river overflowing, but the water is gradually starting to subside. 20251014

毎年恒例の植樹祭です。いずれ学校の敷地境界は立木で囲まれてくれるでしょう。川の氾濫により先々月から水浸しになっている学校周辺ですが、少しずつ水が引き始めています。

August and September are the rainy season in India, but this year the amount of rain has been heavy, and the sluice gates installed downstream of the Ganges River have not been properly adjusted, causing severe flooding in many areas. The area around our school has also been flooded, and students’ homes have suffered extensive damage. The sudden rise in water overnight forced them to flee with barely the clothes on their backs. We are hoping to provide even a little relief to the poor, non-caste farmers who are already struggling. Teachers are also interviewing students’ parents about the damage.20250827-0906

The flooding of the Ganges River and its tributaries on August 26th inundated a wide area and destroyed crops. It even deprived poor farmers, who already had low incomes, of their income. There was no serious damage to our school buildings, students, or staff, but as you can see, the surrounding area is flooded, and it will take some time for recovery. 20250827
